CUT

A sliced apple at midnight
The median of a two-lane road outside the window
A little earlier, we were at the hair salon
We stopped halfway through the morning and afternoon cuts
To swallow ice cubes
The startled ice spun halfway down the throat
Someone asked if there was a map
Hair hit the floor sooner than expected
Looking at the browned apple
A dull ache began behind my eyes
We cut away what had changed
The apple got smaller
And what was divided turned into four lanes

한밤중에 잘라놓은 사과와

창문 밖 2차선의 중앙 분리대

조금 전엔 미용실에 있었다

우리는 오전과 오후를 커트하다 말고

조각얼음들을 삼켰다

당황한 얼음들은 식도 중턱에서 빙빙 돌았다

누군가 지도를 내어줄까 물었다

머리카락이 생각보다 빨리 바닥에 닿았고

갈색 사과를 바라보니 머리가 지끈했다

변한 것들을 잘라냈다

사과는 줄어들었고

분리된 것들이 4차선을 만들었다
